Therapeutic Approach
I believe that everyone (yes, myself included) can benefit from therapy. I am dedicated to creating a safe space, free of judgement where you feel supported and understood and can work to move towards positive growth and fulfillment.
I work to utilize an eclectic approach to tailor each session to the needs of each client. My most frequently used modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, as well as harm reduction and crisis management strategies.
Specializations and Interests
I enjoy working with individuals from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. I have a special interest in working with those whom experience anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, as well as working with college students and those working in the field of education.
Biography
As a native Chicagoan I am thrilled to make an impact by working with those living and working in this amazing city. Prior to becoming a therapist I was fortunate enough to work as a teacher in the field of Early Childhood Education. Prior to beginning at CIC I’ve worked in various settings including a community mental health center, another small practice, as well as an IOP/PHP program. Outside of work I enjoy getting nostalgic with 90’s and early 2000’s music, drinking way too much coffee, binging tv shows, as well as spending time with my friends and family.
