Therapeutic Approach

I believe each individual is the expert of their own story. I am here to help guide you by creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard. I used a trauma-informed, integrative, and collaborative approach to healing. My clients describe me as genuine, direct, and non-judgmental.

I use the following evidence-based approaches to therapy: Trauma-focused Cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Specializations & Interests

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I specialize in trauma and stress-related difficulties. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, attachment/relationship difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and borderline personality disorder.

Biography

In addition to working in private practice, I have worked in a variety of settings in the mental health field that includes working as an inpatient counselor at a behavioral health hospital, a crisis worker, domestic violence and sexual assault case manager, and an outpatient therapist in a non-profit community setting.

I reside in the suburbs of Chicago with my rescue dog Dash. In my free time I enjoy being a dog mom, spending time with family, traveling, and learning new things. My newest hobby is learning Spanish, as I understand the language well, and hope to be fluent one day. I am a strong believer in self-care which can be exercising, spending time in nature, or just spending time alone recharging.
